D- 6 Short Line Mould
The Second Vivekananda Bridge is built across the river Hooghly. The Superstructure consists of Precast elements covering the width of the 6 lane carriageway. The Short Line Mould measuring 27m x 3.5m and consisting of more than 450 individual components was designed, fabricated and assembled for preshipment inspection at our works.
Each component was match marked & tagged. The assembly of the entire mould was done in a record time of 7 days.
Our onsite installation included setting up the complete assembly of the Shor Line and design of the casting yard (which was also done by Pranav ), erecting the various components to line and level, and matching them to the desired accuracy for casting of moulds.
Each mould had 2 nos. soffits. Pranav supplied four sets of mould. There were 3 types of Bulkheads, which Pranav supplied, apart from special bulk heads required for expansion joint and Diaphragm segments. There were about 260 segments to be cast and there were 60 repetitions.
