Piers & Pier-Caps
More than 1000 piers and pier caps have been cast using formwork supplied by Pranav Constructions Systems. These include Station Piers, Cantilever piers and Portal piers. Specially developed panels were provided to match the elliptical pier's shape to the flat pier cap bottom. Panels were manufactured on special jigs and fixtures to avoid jointing marks on the finished structure.
The extensive use of 3D modeling techniques permitted the optimizationof design. This also pre-empted errors and correction at the site, resulting in high efficiency and superior product finish.
Single formwork unit with modular construction unit was used to cater to different Pier heights. This was done to suit the different road levels at pier positions.
